Drakes Liquor Online RSA Commitment
As a family-owned and community-focused business, Drakes takes its obligations and responsibilities to ensure the Responsible Service of Alcohol very seriously. We operate with the wellbeing of our community at the forefront of our mind. In order to best protect our community and serve our customers, and to comply with our obligations as a licence holder under the Liquor Licensing Act 1997, the sale of liquor via our website is subject to our Terms and Conditions, which can be accessed using the link at the bottom of this page.
WARNING: Liquor Licensing Act 1997: Liquor must not be sold or supplied to persons under 18. Penalties apply.
Refusal of service
In making our products available for the benefit of our customers, the responsible service and consumption of alcohol is of paramount importance to us at Drakes. To protect our community and to best serve our customers, there are certain circumstances in which we will refuse to serve or supply alcohol. They include:
- If our staff believe or suspect that a customer is intoxicated;
- If a customer is wearing any school uniform (including any sports uniform), even if the customer can prove they are over the age of 18. We are of the view that to do otherwise would pose an unacceptable risk of alcohol being purchased for minors either directly or via secondary supply; and
- If any customer is suspected of being under the age of 25 and is unable to provide satisfactory evidence otherwise.
